Materials
Designs can be screen printed into any standard Emirane high pressure laminate grade or solid grade laminate (up to 20mm). Laminate can also be bonded onto a suitable substrate, e.g. chipboard, plywood.Sizes
All Emirane high pressure laminates are produced on a sheet size of 3050mm x 1220mm. It is therefore advantageous to utilise the full sheet whereever possible. Please note however:- All full sheet patterns or designs requiring edge-to-edge matching should be based on a final trim size of 3030mm x 1200mm. Sheets containing multiple designs, signs, notices etc, should also be based on this size allowing space between each design for cutting into individual pieces.
- Full-sheet patterns requiring no bonding or edge-to-edge matching can be produced in full 3050mm x 1220mm size.
Artwork
Colours:
The Emirane production process uses as many colours as required.Supplying Artwork:
Customer's ready artwork should be on disc in EPS or TIFF format for use in Photoshop or Illustrator. Freehand or Quark Express service can be offered, the cost of which can be shown separately. All required font styles should be supplied.Film Positives:
Customers may supply film positives, which should be full size on clear film. Image areas should be completely opague, even when held against a bright light.Hand Drawn Positives:
Hand drawn positives should be prepared on stable, transparent tracing film (e.g. 'Seritrace' or 'Kodatrace') with photographic opaque. Image areas should be completely opaque even when held against a bright light.Cutting & Trimming:
During normal manufacturing some shrinkage of around 0.1% of design dimensions can occur. Trim marks, which are show on all designs outside the actual design area, should therefore be used only as a guide. Similarly shrinkage can give a possible reduction in board to board alignment accuracy of around 0.1%. To minimise this effect, patterns which are to be matched edge-to-edge should be trimmed to the printed trim marks.Colour Match:
Emirane offers a colour matching service to match any customer's colour requirements. Whilst every care is taken in colour matching, we cannot guarantee an exact match from each different batch of ink. Standard colour matchs can be made to RAL, PANTONE or B.S. Discs for colour matching should be supplied in the CMYK format.Fixing Systems:
