Having spent twenty five years in the laminate industry John Purkiss started his own company Emirane in 1990.
The company's task was to meet the growing demand for incorporating customers' special designs, logos, signs and pictures into hard wearing but easy to use high pressure plastic laminate.
The initial market aim was the multiple quantities for major companies, however the priting costs came down and photography improved so small quantities, especially signs, became more and more viable and in demand.
We currently source papers from many major producers and both screen printing and digital photographs from the best manufacturers in the country. Our customer base extends from the U.S.A. to Europe and of course the United Kingdom. Detailed accurate reproduction of sign work has now been used by the most demanding of clients to their complete satisfaction and is a growing part of our business.
